Hi Ely,

Please refer to the notes below shared by one of our consultant who got the CNN project. Hope this helps you a bit.

CNN onsite interview is split into two parts. The first part with the product managers (non-technical) is more talking about your experience and background such as previous team dynamics and how tasks were delegated and the decision making. What technical challenges you've faced and overcame. Questions to determine how you communicate, work together, and get along with your teammates. You can get a little technical here if you want, but they are non-technical besides Carlos. When you meet with the team for the technical portion, make sure to impress them with your React knowledge by explaining more in depth on how you've used React. They might ask you if you've used some technologies that they have, but it's not necessary that you've worked with everything they have. Some things that they've brought up that I remember: Docker, AWS, HTML5/CSS3, React/Redux (need to know the flow well), Node (what you've done in Node), webpack, responsive web design. Try to direct the conversation to topics that you know well or details of projects that you've worked on, as the interview with the team is flexible and they go off of your resume. Remember it's a two way conversation, it's okay to go off topic a little for small talk to take a little break from technical talk before diving back in, and think of questions to ask.
